Artist in Residence

Untitled Fine Art is pleased to announce that visual artist Iker Sanchez Silva will be our next resident artist. He will be working from July 25th to August 15th, the day we will open the exhibition of work created during the residency titled Konposizioak (compositions in Euskera).

Iker Sánchez is a Basque multidisciplinary artist. As a painter, he develops a practice focused on the relationship between image, sound, and memory, exploring the links between painting and musical experience. His work has been presented in exhibitions in Spain, France, and the United States, and he is currently part of La Central Art Gallery (Donostia-San Sebastián) and Untitled Fine Art.

In addition, he has developed an extensive career as an orchestra conductor, training at the conservatories of Donostia, Bordeaux, and Munich, and conducting leading orchestras in Spain, Portugal, and Montenegro.

The coexistence of both disciplines constitutes the central axis of his artistic research, where painting and music are understood as complementary languages capable of translating and transforming each other.
